Pop under this

In customer hell, there are two kinds of companies:

1. Terrible, horrible companies that because of their greed and incompetence, do just about everything possible to destroy your confidence and faith in humanity. Hell of Fame charter members include Enron, Arthur Andersen, and SBC.

2. Companies that annoy the hell out of everyone who's not a customer (no pun intended). Future Customer Hell of Fame candidates include Coors, Orbitz, and X-10, makers of ridiculous spy cams.

Last year, X-10 billed itself as the world's largest online advertiser -- billions of pop-under ads that slowed down the surfing efforts of probably every single person on the Internet. Today, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Perhaps there IS justice in the Customer World.
