I love the creation side of it, very cool. But the consumption side is still a tad too klunky IMO. If it were embedded in the page and didn't require me to fire up my mp3 player just to hear it, it would be more smooth.
Potential? I think so. But not so much for hearing your own voice (although that might be fun too) but for listening to other voices/things.
I just listened to "This American Life" on NPR and had the thought -- something like that on a blog, a running blog sharing experiences would be cool. Run around recording sounds, comments from others, "reporting" from an event, etc.
Finally - as a CCE disciple, the thought of hijacking this to create audio testimonials might add even more credibility and pizazz, especially if it had a picture, title, etc to go with it. Audio testimonials can express more excitement or other emotions.
