KUT's inflection point

Friend of the Church John Moore is a public radio evangelist. So much so that he's volunteered to help his hometown public radio station, Austin's KUT, to create a fund-raising blog during its current fund drive.

By definition, evangelists can be occasionally critical of their objects of affection; Moore's critique of KUT's previous fund drive (he called it "pathetic groveling") led to his current role of public evangelist.

Kudos to KUT for recognizing the customer evangelist's inherent motherly/fatherly desire to see their object of affection improve itself. By incorporating Moore into its fund drive rather than relegating him to the cone of silence, KUT wins the influential affection of a listener/blogger and Moore is given a front-row seat to the real challenges of public broadcasting fund-raising.
