Time for a Lexus blog

In the blogosphere, word of mouth spreads faster than fire. Right now, tonight, Lexus has a small fire burning that could grow hotter.

It's because of this this story and this story: Bluetooth technology may be making new Lexus models susceptible to viruses. The viruses could disrupt the cars' on-board computers, which seem to run just about everything these days in luxury models. This seems credible given that a Wired story last year exposed how Bluetooth is filled with security problems.

Today's speculation about Lexus illustrates why the company needs a blog immediately. A "could not be reached for comment" line in a news story doesn't stop the blogs gone wild. A blog does. Better yet, the brand's customer evangelists, on a Lexus blog, can more effectively act as PR crisis firefighters.

GM's Bob Lutz is blogging, and so should Lexus. Probably a lot sooner than they'd expected.

(Tip o' the hat to Bob Watkins for the tip.)

Man, that GM blog is .... stiff. I really have to wonder if the CEO is really blogging or if it's some lackey.

Is there any way to remove the electronic struts from a 1997 Lexus ES 300 and replace them with "regular" struts --- if so how? The replacement struts are $800 to buy --- and then installation increases that.

Is there any impact on the computer system --- or will the "check engine" light always be lit?

On this page automobile magazine describes how lexus needs more interior colors than black, grey and biege, they are TIRED and OLD friggin colors, we need a blog to get lexus to get on the Friggin ball with this . We are young pissed off lexus owners and Lexus needs to listen. Even if they had saddle leather available in the ES or GS it would at least give us a choice over those other OLD AND TIRED crappy colors. Lexus wise up and get a blog going or you are going to lose your customers to cutting edge tech companies like Nissan/Infinity. If there isn't a new interior color avaiable at Lexus other than black grey or beige next year I am buying an infinity, that's it ! GIVE US MORE INTERIOR COLORS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your motto at your car shows is you listen to your customers, I have been saying this for 2 years and no one there is listening?

I am getting extremely poor service on my Lexus from N. Park. Anyone else out there with similar experience?

Lexus isn't the only car with integrated Bluetooth - most cars these days have the same technology. Integrated, hands-free phones are the wave of the future.
