Help us plan our new book tour
Our forthcoming book, "Citizen Marketers: When People are the Message" ships in December 2006. For it we are planning a book tour called "40 Talks in 40 Days." We'd like you to help determine the tour schedule.
From February through March 2007, Ben or I will visit 40 companies, association chapters, member groups or what-have-you anywhere in North America to deliver a 60-minute, informative keynote presentation about citizen marketers, everyday people who are using social media to create content -- blogs, podcasts, videos, etc. -- about product, brands and companies they love. Or hate.
This content becomes the most influential form of marketing: authentic word-of-mouth. Using plenty of fun and eye-opening multimedia examples, we'll explain who the citizen marketers are, what they want, their motivations and how to embrace them. We'll explain our research and findings into the 1% Rule and what it means for sites focused on citizen-created content.
If you want us to speak at your event, just pick up our travel expenses and purchase at least 200 books for attendees and one of us is so there. The tour dates are first-come, first-served. Once 40 dates are booked, they're gone. Since we speak separately, it's easy for us to be in two places at once.
If you're interested, email or call our event scheduler, Launa Post, at Launa AT customerevangelists.com or 724-225-8664. The first group to have a signed agreement for a date gets it!

Hi Jackie, your book sounds fascinating -- can't wait!
I'd love to have you on Small Business Trends Radio program. We broadcast over WSRadio.com these days (home of Entrepreneur Radio, et.al.) -- quite a bit improved since the early podcast we did of you way back when.
Let me know if you are interested. We broadcast live on Tuesdays, at 11:00 AM Eastern time (10 Central). I broadcast from my studio -- I'd have you on by phone.
Best,
Anita
Jackie, we'd LOVE to have you come to Rochester, NY. Can we get on your schedule somehow? I've been telling my board at RAMA (Rochester NY Chapter of the AMA) that you rock! The locale is eager to learn more about Citizen Marketers. I'm doing my best to teach them...but, they need some outside influence. Let me know how to arrange this, if we can.
Thanks Yvonne! Just contact our event scheduler mentioned in the post: Shelley Dolley, at shelley AT customerevangelists.com or (207) 892-9977.
I just sent an email to Shelley as we would love to host you in San Francisco at one of our Social Media Club meetings.
And while I can't promise lovely weather that time of year (a rainy SF is still a great place to be) there is a plethera of amazing food and the opportunity to meet some fairly entertaining folks to be had.
So, I hope you will put Social Media Club in San Francisco on your tour list and if we get really lucky, possibly a stop in New York for our East Coast counterparts.
Cheers!
The natives are getting wrestless. We can't wait to read your book.
