My WOM shoes
I bought a new pair of shoes yesterday and took them with me to a book tour event in Tampa. Within 10 minutes of wearing them in the hotel lobby, I'd already gotten six compliments.
One guy was talking on his cellphone, saw my shoes and stopped dead in his tracks.
"Dude, you cannot believe these shoes I'm looking at," he said into the handset. "They're tight!"
He wanted to know all about them. He even asked if it was OK to touch them.
He got back on his phone and told his friend he had to go. He had to go online and buy a pair for himself. A visceral reaction turned into an impulse buy.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. My guess is you designed them and Nike helped with the manufacturing. Am I right?

Walking around Tampa with those red babies on turned a lot of heads -- not to look check out my ass, but to do a double-take on my shoes.

You guys should checkout the shoes that came out from Nike with Ipod applications. Nike and Apple coming together is a perfect combination and if this can motivate a healthier lifestyle than more power to them.
