They need a third heat
A small gem of a fact in this article (sub req'd) helps illuminate what clearly is part of the problem at some traditional media giants: Every day, NBC's ad-sales department is buried beneath a blizzard of 800 faxes that contain instructions from customers about what to do with their network TV ads.
It's still an analog world there, and that must create a mighty big filter for seeing the rest of the universe, whether it's working directly with customers or understanding how everyone else uses digital or social media.
