Surgery update
Ben's surgery on Friday went well. They removed all of the cancerous kidney as well as a sick gall bladder. Pathology tests next week should help determine the all-clear on cancer. He is still a little groggy today but has been walking very slowing around the hospital hallways. He thanks everyone for their well-wishing comments and emails.

Ben, hope you are feeling fabulous soon!
Perfect excuse to eat lots of Amy's ice cream once he's feeling better. No better cure this time of year unless its a Casey's New Orleans Sno Ball (52nd & Airport).
Good luck, Ben.
So my grandfather had kidney cancer and they pulled all if it out, including the kidney, with no chemo or radiation. If you are going to have cancer, it is the best place to have it! IMO. Anyway, heal quickly and get back to playing Tennis.
thanks, Jackie. Will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
Glad to hear the surgery went well.

Ben,
Sorry to catch up on your surgery late. I hope it all goes well, these physical setbacks can be so devastating. Keep the faith, push on! I can sort of sympathize, had the Quad Bypass in '01 and am now worrying about the 10 year recurrence factor. After you get a clean bill, relax and enjoy all that life has to offer. Don't sweat the small stuff and remember it's all small stuff.

Dear Jackie,
Please send my utmost regards to Ben and I will hope and pray that he gets well soon. It is shocking to have such a thing happen to one, but I am very sure that he will get back on his feet again.
To Ben: Please take good care and trust that God will be there in your hour and time of need. Just remember that though i may not be that evident often as a commenter, I am a keen follower of Church of the Customer and deeply appreciate what you guys are doing.
